#6 THE JOY OF LOVE

About this Painting

I expect only a small number of people know the song that inspired this (Joan Baez anyone?) but the original song has a very long and interesting history going back to 1784 when it began its life as a classical French love song. I think Elvis sampled it too. It’s been around that’s for sure and worth a Google if you’re Interested! The key refrain of the song is this and I think we can all relate:

“The pleasure of love lasts only a moment,
The grief of love lasts a lifetime”

Be careful young hearts out there, choose your lovers wisely!

Important information 

This series features a 5" x 4" painting in an A4 mount. Each piece comes unframed but is sized to fit a standard A4 frame. 

Each piece comes with a mount, an under-mount and is protected by a cellophane bag. We use Royal Mail Tracked 48 service for all works on paper.
